General Terms and Conditions

Smart Language Solutions Ltd. (hereafter called "SLS") will provide the client (hereafter called "the client") with a qualified language teacher for the clients chosen language tuition and learning solution.

All tuition at SLS is for online learning ONLY and any contracts for learning online do not entitle the client to any entry rights into the UK or Europe above those the client already posses

SLS will place the client in a class at the clients correct learning level.

SLS will provide the client with information on where to purchase the necessary material for the clients language tuition

The client is responsible for purchasing all learning material for the clients tuition as directed by SLS. SLS will not knowingly provide the client with copies of copyrighted material.

Payment for language lessons is based upon a 45 teaching hour

All lessons fees must be paid by the client to SLS prior to the start of tuition

For the safety and security of clients and teachers no personal contact information will be exchanged between teachers and clients

SLS is a UK based company and reserves the right not to provide tuition services on UK public holidays.

All terms enforceable under UK law.

SLS administration office keeps UK office hours of 08.00 – 18.00.

SLS may instruct approved agents on its behalf. All agents work inline with SLS terms and conditions.

SLS may from time to time change its terms and conditions and will inform clients by email of such changes.

Group Lessons

Group is a fixed time learning solution.

Group lessons are a 45 or 90 minute learning solution provided by SLS.

Group are an open ended learning solution, this means the client, upon payment of the correct fee, can join the group in the first week of any month

Group tuition can be bought as a monthly package at the advertised price on the SLS website or SLS approved agents website.

Group lessons are available for students from beginner to advanced except where it is stated on our website.

Group lessons are available for students who want to learn general, business, or exam English.

Clients must pay all tuition fees in advance

If within one week of paying a tuition fee and before the commencement of tuition, clients who have paid fees for the group may cancel their tuition and all fees will be returned.

If within one week of paying a tuition fee and after the commencement of tuition in the week of receipt of payment, clients who wish to cancel their group tuition will have their fees returned minus a €30 administration fee.

If one week after paying a group tuition fee and before the commencement of tuition, clients who wish to cancel tuition will have their fee returned to them minus a €30 administration fee.

If after the commencement of group plus tuition clients who wish to cancel their tuition will be returned their tuition fee minus a €30 administration fee.

Each group has minimum a maximum of paying clients and one teacher as stated on the website.

In certain circumstances clients, may from time to time, find themselves in a group with less than the minimum number of clients as stated on the website, at which point SLS reserves the right to close the group.

Should a group fall bellow the minimum of clients as listed on the website SLS reserves the right to close the group and will offer each remaining client in the group scheduled for closure either the opportunity to move to a different group, which may be at a different time or day. Should there be no possible group for the remaining clients of the group scheduled for closure SLS may issue a refund for the outstanding balance of teaching units left.

The group may be purchased as a once a week lesson or as a twice a week lesson.

Group lessons will be at the same time and on the same day as agreed between SLS and the client.

Each group will have lessons via a virtual classroom as provided by SLS or its preferred provider.

If a client arranges group tuition with an SLS approved agent then the client will pay directly to the agent and not SLS.

If a client arranges the group via an SLS approved agent the above payment and repayment terms apply and will be administered by the SLS agent.

If a client arranges the group via an SLS approved agent then the agent is the clients first point of contact for all administrative matters.

Should a client not be able to attend a group lesson this lesson will be deducted from the clients outstanding lessons.

Should SLS not be able to provide any group lesson the lost lesson will be credited to the clients account.



Private One to One

The One2One (hereafter called one) is a flexible tuition solution.

One lesson is 45 minute learning solution provided by SLS.

Each one consists of one client and one teacher.

Each one will have lessons via a virtual classroom as provided by SLS or its preferred provider.

one tuition start time will be either fixed or flexible. Clients may agree a fixed start time for each lesson at the time of contracting with SLS, clients may also agree a flexible start time for each following lesson between their teacher and SLS.

one tuition can be bought as a package of 8, 12, 16, or 20 units at the advertised price on the SLS website or an approved SLS agent website.

Clients must pay all tuition fees in advance.

If, within one week of paying a tuition fee and before the commencement of tuition, clients who have paid fees for the one may cancel their tuition and all fees will be returned.

If within one week of paying a tuition fee and after the commencement of tuition for one in the week of receipt of payment, clients who wish to cancel their tuition will have the outstanding tuition fee returned minus a €30 administration fee.

If one week after paying a tuition fee for one and before the commencement of tuition, clients who wish to cancel tuition will have their fee returned to them minus a €30 administration fee.

If after one week of the commencement of one tuition clients who wish to cancel their tuition will have any outstanding course fees returned minus a €30 administration fee.

If a client arranges a one via an SLS approved agent the above payment and repayment terms apply and will be administered by the SLS agent.

If a client arranges a one via an SLS approved agent then with the exception of a lesson cancellation (see below), the agent is the clients first point of contact for all administrative matters.

Should a student wish to cancel and reschedule a one lesson they must email SLS at info@smartlanguagesolutions.com 24 hour before the lesson start time. SLS will then reschedule the lesson and will inform the client’s teacher. Clients must not contact teachers directly.

Should a client not be able to attend any particular one lesson and not inform SLS by email 24 hours prior to the start time this lesson will be deducted from the clients outstanding lessons.

Should a client arrive late to a one lesson the lesson will end at scheduled time

In the event of a late arrival of a client into a one lesson, the SLS teacher will wait 15 minutes from the start time of the lesson, if there is no contact from the client requesting the teacher to wait, the SLS teacher will log out of the session and the lesson will be deducted from the clients contract.

Should SLS not be able to provide any particular one lesson the lost lesson will be credited to the clients account.
